Review
The Outlaws opened the show, the sound heard in section 209 was absolutely horrible! The sound was so distorted vocals were completely anialated! Some instruments couldn't be heard at all. I have never heard a sound system so bad as this one. The Old Oakdale theater in the round definitely had much better sound quality. For their last song they brought in several members of the Marshall Tucker and Charlie Daniels bands, all these additional instruments just made it worse, the sound went from slightly intelligable to completely unintelligable. This sound was so bad I left the concert hall after the Outlaws finished. I will stick to my old Outlaws albums.
I listened to the first couple Marshall Tucker songs from the food court where the sound was somewhat better then left severly disappointed.
I have been to many concerts over the years, including Charlie Daniels, outside, the sound was much better. The poor sound quality and high sound pressure levels inside the theater definitely cry for government regulation of sound level and quality. Connecticut or better yet, federal regulators should enact laws / regulations limiting the max sound level and the max distortion allowed from these systems and make "continuous monitoring" with automatic protection (such as automatically decreasing amplifier power output to meet the limits) mandatory to ensure public safety.
